Our True Identity

I had a special experience the other day
that really broke my heart.
{but} made me think..
about the experiences that young teenagers face
and how important it is to prepare them
for this ugly.insane.crazy world
when your a girl... the craziness seems to be worse
Girls are mean
If they only knew the impact they make [for better or for worse]
if they only knew the regrets they will have later in life
if they only understood how big of an impact
words can make on someones life.
if they could just see how important it is to
make good choices
to make good friends

{if they only understood}
a friend shared this video with me.. so I figured I would share it to you all

Lake Arrowhead

For Labor Day
the baker family headed to
::Lake Arrowhead::
We ate breakfast, feed the ducks, and walked around
Chadley and Dawson
rode the go-carts...
Dawson had some trouble understanding that the
green pedal = Go
red pedal = Stop
so he just pushed them both at the
same time and came to a
{complete stop}

It was a nice to be up in the mountains again.
I have maybe missed them ;)

Girls Day

For my birthday I received a gift certificate for a nail spa.
{I love love Pedicures}
I couldn't indulge in this all alone so...
I brought my only friend I have in California... and the coolest chick around
Miss Chadley
We ended up getting manicures and pedicures..
::it was bliss::

the wait is over...

after four years of college...
after the many hours studying to pass my test...
after all the money that was spent...
after the hourly checks online to see if my license had been updated....
after all the stress...
after the many many phone calls to the California board of nursing..

after all of that...
::the day has finally come::
I have that little piece of paper that says I can practice as a RN in the state of California.. Three months for a little piece of paper. better late than never I suppose

Huntin' Boys

Gone Huntin'

So... while we have been in California
::Davis has gone from a 24 year old
back to a ten year old ::
Davis and Dawson believe that they
are real archers and need to
hunt and gather to provide for the family.

One Night they both were missing...
We look out in the backyard and they
are in the cabin::
waiting for the bunnies to come out so they
can shoot one....

Soo.. if any of you have bunny problems these two
are your guys...
although::
They still have yet to actually kill one (or come anywhere close)
these two are quite the pair! I am so glad
we could spend the summer with the Bakers'
and have so many great adventures!!
Keep up the Good Work Boys :D

New Adventures...

A lot has happened over the last couple of months...
A lot of big changes...
After 12 years of the small city life
it is now time to move on...
move out of the comfort of home, the comfort of familiar faces...
::Goodbye Cedar City::

Hello, Beautiful Southern California!!

Davis and I recently moved to California to spend the summer in Paradise.
It has been a change that's for sure.
::Top 5 things I miss about Cedar::
1. Two lane freeways!!
2. The fact that it takes 5 min to go from one side of
the city to the other.
3. The friends and family that we left behind
4. Late night trips to Wal-mart for no reason
other than for pure entertainment.
5. The scenery

We are both very excited about this change in our lives and we are looking forward to the new adventures to come. California is great! I am getting more and more familiar with my surroundings. Thanks Davis for taking me out of my comfort zone and showing me what the world has to offer. I Love You.
